SAP Hana refers to a relational DMS or database management system that has an in-memory storage which had been developed by the SAP SE. This database system is designed for storing and restoring data requested by applications. The main difference between HANA and earlier SAP systems are the column-oriented database and in-memory features. When data gets stored in the main memory rather than on disks it enables faster data access that in turn accelerates data query processing and this boosts performance. Analysis of the data access patterns shows that nearly 85% of total data in an enterprise is not used at all or may be accessed very less. So, it is cost-effective to store the remaining 15% data in-memory.
The benefits offered by cloud hosting service providers do not only make things move faster; they can actually change the way you conduct business. Since SAP Hana can crunch huge volumes of data at record speed, businesses can benefit from real-time analytics. They are equipped to tackle large data projects that may have been too resource-intensive earlier before the Hana came about. There have been dramatic improvements in UI with Screen Personas and SAP Fiori. The latter allows you to tackle business roles more efficiently. So, tasks which had to be performed earlier using keyboards and mouse can now be done with only a few clicks of mobile devices. Finally, SAP Hana cloud hosting has increased advantages of adaptation, introducing a huge variety of cutting edge tools for different enterprise applications. Whether it is accounting, logistics, financial management, warehouse management or any other business application, these can be built from scratch. This results in better throughput, functionalities and better analytics.
